They're number one on two best out of 5 reviews I've read. Sound quality is on par with over $100 pairs. Only drawback being the cheap cord that is prone to wearing out quick. Which is a pretty big drawback considering thats how most of the earbuds I use tend to crap out. But losing sound in one side.
They cost around $65
Shure makes another pair that look safe but they are a lot more at $288. Maybe they might last a lifetime though which would make it worth it.
Use over the ear whenever possible putting a sound source near your tympanic membrane is bad news bears

Wait... I thought we were talking about ear buds as in ear plugs, as in ear defenders...
In terms of earphones I use these:
Great sound quality, and as the video shows, great durability. Not too expensive either, I got my for £70 about 7 months ago, you can grab a pair for around £50 at the moment.
Sorry pkay, you're right. It's for this reason I don't use my earphones very often - only when I'm walking around in public which isn't often at all. At home I either use my KRK's or monitors.

If you want ear plugs visit a doctor and get one molded for your ear that doesn't go too deep I to your canal. Expensive but a one time purchase

I'm in the market for some new earphones now and that's around what i'd be looking to pay, I'm a bit weary about Monster though after hearing the Beats by Dre earphones. I wonder if it's worth paying £60 for these or £40 for the Sennheiser CX300 IIs because I've heard good things about those...

I highly doubt that video is real.

This definitely the best debate on earplugs I've ever read. Thanks OP and posters for delivering!

What about its cable though? I hear they're prone to damage easy.
More earbud manufacturers need to follow suit like Shure with their SE425's and make the cables replaceable and insulated with Kevlar.

i had some sennheisers a couple years back; cord quality was good, buds themselves lasted like 3 years. sound was obviously awesome as well

denon ahc 260, had them since july i think, and they are troopers. they lack high end but not much; just enough that it doesnt hurt after hours of use, cables fine, still feel brand new, the ear buds themselves are nice although i lost mine. they get nearly everyday use with atleast 2 hours of play and im not really careful with them. i think i got them for about 10-15, 100% recommend

I can tell all speculators that the videos on monster jamz are real.
Kids voice in this vid is a bit annoying but it's real. I wacked them on a concrete wall the other day when they swung out of my pocket and not even a scratch.
And they are nothing like beats by dre. The sound quality on them is genuinely very good. I honestly can't find a bad thing to say about them, apart from maybe that the cable gets tangled but I'm pretty sure that the tangle-proof wires cause reduced audio quality... They are also really comfortable to wear.
