I know you all probably hate Bar 9

But the other day I was on Pandora on my phone on Bar 9 radio and this absolute banger came on, and I remember specifically it was a remix. But now I can't remember the name of the tune.

I had never heard it before, which I found odd because I have the Bar 9 discography. I went to discogs and looked through all his remixes, already have them, went to his soundcloud, google it, even checked beatport.

Where else could I search for this? I know it was a Remix, the title was more than one word (I was slightly intoxicated upon finding it, but I'm positive i don't already have it).

Help hahaha?

Haven't liked anything I've heard from Bar9 recently, but...

:U:

The tune you're after's probably an unreleased bit.

you should try and mention key features, if your trying to get an ID.

i'm 50/50 with bar 9, and it's nothing too do with the sound, the tunes generally are appealing too the ears, just, the majority of their remixes sound very similar, structure wise, melodically etc etc, too me, it sounds like they get a vocal, have the buildup for the drop.. then at the drop, it's a slightly different synth patch, same LFO rate, same Notes.

and the only original i've really felt was strung out, but not a whole lot.

my favourite was the Indisco Remix, just because it was ridiculous

Yeah, midnight is huge. Bar9 was one of the first Dubstep producers I got into actually, I really dug him for a while. It did get boring quick though.

Like this, I agree with, but at the same time, they manage to pull off that sound and it almost cant be worn out, because its so damn good

Shame is that they make a loop and just leave it be for the entire duration of the tune.

Still i like some of their tunes - Strung out, midnight, amalgamation, the beginning, i want you remix, piano tune... All go off

It's funny though, listen to Murda Sound, Untitled Symphony, Strung Out, Soundboy, Direction Course and Pull Up. They all sound like they were made with exactly the same drum and synth patches, they could almost be VIPs of eachother. Still, they did what they did well.

haha yeah i never got that into bar9, i heard some remixes, enjoyed the remixes, then that was it.

but fair play, despite the re-use of sounds/patches/drums etc, the sound was catchy, without being awful.

Bar9 are actually a duo. They made wobble tear-out in the early days that was tolerable, before shit got saturated. They weren't original, they weren't the best out there. But when I saw them in 2007 I believe, they were quite fun for an hour.

Nowadays, they have sunk below every level: I'd put them up there with gemini and the likes.
