how have i never heard this guy's stuff before?

i've been a fan of larry levan for years and have really started digging for francois k stuff in the last few years, which led me to Dinosaur L - 24->24 Music.

an outstanding, inspiring album.

i think i've probably passively listened to his stuff quite a bit, but i'm kind of angry with myself for never actively pursuing him.

There's quite an interesting documentary about it him out there, I recommend the watch if you want to pursue his career a bit further. Indeed, so many songs of his are just standards of entire scenes.




Unmistakeable talent.

first heard 'Go Bang' at a party years back and it smacked me upside my head

been gradually collecting stuff since
plenty of essential and inspirational material
love the sketchiness and freedom and experimentation

recently bought a repress of the Treehouse / Schoolbell 12"
and it wasted me
