wow........

who's next, mala? I mean, I'm not judging them or anything, but I always thought of DMZ as the ultimate vinyl users...this is a shock

vinyl mixing is cool, but i really don't give a fuck to be honest. It's all about their tunes and their selection. Would pay to see either of them regardless

Your missing one of the key things that he will be still be using vinyls too
"Not that many will care but i decided to start using CDJ's
and vinyls."

Ditto, it's just weird. I remember seeing a picture of Coki wearing a shirt that says "just do vinyl" in the font of the Nike slogan "just do it"
....but....now he's NOT just doing vinyl

Yeah he's still using vinyl, just CDJs too, means he'll still be able to play in places where the decks aren't up to standard. Doesn't really matter a huge amount to me, Coki's got an immense arsenal of tunes and it doesn't really make much difference to me whether he unleashes them via vinyl or by CD. There's probably a small difference in sound quality but I don't think if I'm in a club off my tits and dancing like a nutter I'll be able to notice it. A lot of people say that mixing on vinyl sounds better than CDJ mixes as well but Coki's not exactly a master of mixing so probably again won't make much difference either way.

If he was gonna switch I'd have thought he'd have gone timecode vinyl. As has been stated his strength isn't on the decks anyway though. Believe Loe is supposed to be the best DJ out of the DMZ crew. That leaves Mala and Pinch spinning vinyl outta the big boys I think.

I like vinyl more but I like working with CDJs too

especially if they're big ones like the cdj-2000s and if it's a nice mixer, that always helps too

i prefer playing records because there is more satisfaction, but people who use CDJ's should abuse them for what they are, i have them, plan to get at least 2 more so i can do multi-deck mixing etc!
i definitely enjoy mixing on CDJ's.

Obviously frustrated with the lack of good quality turntables whilst out and about playing. Understandable as he wants to be able to put on a good show when he is booked.

bought a pair of cdj200s and a djm dns100 off of a forum member a couple of months ago

basic/standard stuff, but it works for me! I also have a stanton turntable so I can mix half vinyl half cdj, I'm saving up for another one so I can do all vinyl though (also I'd like some technics - the stanton one doesn't hold its speed too well)

Might as well buy a technic for the second tt, You'll never need to upgrade from 1200's. My MK2's are perfect! That's sick though, shoot me a mix.

I'll PM you (don't want to hijack this thread)
