Please Help:(

I just bought a new laptop for producing only. I want to set up my external speakers to it, but I cant plug them into the headphone jack on the laptop because they get extremely hot for some reason. Is there something else I can do to connect them to my laptop? I can buy something. It just cant be overly expensive.

the only other way is to be an external soundcard.

klipsch promedia 2.1
also if u guys recommend an external soundcard. Which one would be the cheapest that would do the job?
