I need some help with the wobbles.... they aren't sounding as clear as I want them. i use fl studio with NI's massive.... are there specific frequencies I should boost and/or cut for the wobbles?

or does this tune just suck... :corncry:

Your track has too many loud sounds going on at once, it makes it hard to listen to. Try to do something about the parts with white noise and those hi-hats - maybe turn down the volume on them or pan them differently? Or maybe take them out altogether. The wobbles sound fine to me though, better than I can do with 3xosc. How did you get that bouncy sound that appeared at 0:10?

finally some critique... :h:

thanks man I'll see what I can do to make the white noise and the high hat sound better.

as for the bouncy sound I used massive's preset "Impact" and tweaked some of the knobs to get it to bounce just by tapping a note.

No problem, I just posted a track here and I'd love some critique as well! I think that your hi-hat and noise sounds are fine, it's just the volume and position that I don't like. I still have to get around to downloading Massive. The bouncy sound is a cool effect that I'd like to use in the future.

massive is definitely a must have...... unlimited amounts of different sounds. I'll check your track out too.

Mastering is a job in itself so unless you're a sound engineer don't except to get the same results as a professional track. Good monitors are more important than mixing headphones, heaphones can't pick up some of the frequencies and should be used to correct details once you got your structure down.

ironically, using good distortion can actually make a sound clearer - so by adding something like Camelcrusher or some overdrive, you may be able to sort your problem out :)

does this sound better now?

btw by I know I can't make it sound pro, but at least I should be able to get it somewhat close.

I didn't hear the original one but the wobble sounds good to me. If it were my track I would dim the melody down and turn the wobble up. By the way I dig the melody. I would also equalize the mid out of the kick, and use a more progressive percussion composition. I assume you're using en envelope or an lfo to make the volume of the white noise crescendo. Try applying that same envelope, lfo or automation to the color so the pitches rises as well. Also try some different noises. I like "metallic" a lot. Keep it up!
