OSHIBKA - Slam

Here's my latest track. It's still a work in progress - I'm not sure if I want to leave things as they are, or if I want to expand and develop a whole new section of the song after this track. But before I move on, I want to know how what I have so far sounds. I made this track in FL Studio 7, using mostly 3xosc, Sytrus and SQ8L as my VSTs. The rain sounds are just samples I downloaded from a free sound effects site. Anyway, let me know what you think.

Damn, I was thinking you were on some Rustie shit.
Maybe take away the drums, find some better ones. Compress, maybe slightly overdrive. You can turn the overdrive wet/dry to maybe 12%.
The next song that played also reminds me of Rustie. Nice.

Also maybe work on some lead/bass sounds.

Thanks for the advice. I've never heard of Rustie before, so I'll check that out if my music really does resemble his stuff!
By drums, what do you mean specifically? The heavy stuff you hear in the very beginning are just one of the default hits that comes with FL Studio with some reverb added. As for the stuff that you hear when the dubstep beat starts kicking in, they are part of a free demo drum sample pack by Kev Willow. I've heard good things about Vengeance samples, but I don't want to have to download gigabytes' worth of samples if I'm only going to use one or two in a given track.
I'm still new at compressing/overdriving - I have the Fruity Compressor, and there's also something in the mixer called Fruity Blood Overdrive, though I have no idea what it does or how to change wet/dry settings on it.

Yeah maybe read up on what the Fruity Blood Overdrive does. I use Ableton and I don't know anything about Fruity Loops.
