Whattup all my UK heads. I'm just wondering what the difference between dubstep and grime is.

In my opinion:

- Grime has different drum patterns.
- Dubstep's more minimalistic than Grime.
- Grime doesn't really have bass drops like dubstep does.
- Grime is a lot more aggressive.
- Grime more often than not has emceeing.
- Slight variation in BPM.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Grime is more focussed around MCs, although there are instrumentals, it's essentially the British extension of hiphop (fused with garage and other junglist/electronic influences), so instrumentals are the exception rather than the rule.

Dubstep is more about the instrumentals... generally higher production values, but possibly a little bit less fun... and a LOT less aggy.
