Shameless Bump?

I'm really looking to step up my production so any kind of critisizm is very welcome. I'm also practicing producing drum and bass and experimenting with some drumstep. Thank you.

Great work for your first track! Big ups.
Nice groove, simple but effective melody, also the mixing is quite nice.
Id however choose a heavier kick and snare sample. The kick lacks attack at around 3 khz.
The snare could be layered with a snare sample which has really punchy 200-250 hz.

Keep it up man, this is really good!

sounds like you used a sample pack for your drums and wobbles...my advice....watch youtube...nothing better than creating your own music

@Thriction Thnaks man Im flattered! No loops or "sample packs" here. I made it all from scratch.

I've also been studying synthesis for a couple weeks now, making my own synths. Anyone know anything that might help with that?

Thanks man I'm flattered! I didn't use any loops or sample packs. Made it all from scratch. I've spent over 40 hours on it so far.

I've those really arent samples and loops.. then you're doing a good job of wrapping your head around sound design. Also - don't have such a self deprecating title haha. People well give you good feedback on your first track without the incentive.

Hahaha I wasn't sure what the title should be. It seems no one on the Internet is interested in anything unless they can hurt someone's feelings or been unnessesarily rude. I thought people would jump at the opportunity to put my track down. Do you know if I can rename this thread?

Also, I did use some kick,snare, and hi hat samples. I found a couple different ones and layered and EQed them. I don't know if that is bad?

If this is made from scratch then don't get "wobble packs" or whatever just keep making shit from scratch. Download Some Breaks and work on chopping drums and EQ especially. Learn what sounds have their spot in a frequency spectrum.

Thanks man. When I started doing this 8 months ago I swore to myself I would never use a wobble pack or anything of the sort. I really want to push myself to be original and stay true to me. How might I go about learning what sounds go where in a frequency spectrum?
