Yeah I just watched that like 30 minutes ago, it really made me think twice about resampling.

Interesting interview. I must admit, I'm guilty of keeping stuff as midi and never committing to audio until my CPU can't take it anymore. I might start bouncing stuff down early in and see where it takes me.
I'm quite interested in the whole 110 thing too. Might have to give it a go.

me, too. problem is that it's kinda too slow for real dubstep beats. just like in the video you have to use more conventional house grooves.

So i just took his advice about the making multiple copies of a sound and having this one have a hi pass sweep, the other having this on it, and the other one having that. than layering them.
i swear i could post this new tune i made as "*****DATSIK NEW TUNE 2012***" and everyone would beleive me

Any chance you could post the individual copies with the different effects, and the layered final version, for comparison? Be interested to hear someone's take on this

make a sound in massive, create a audio effect rack with 3 chains, each chain hi low and mid, throw random effects on each one. for the datsik way usually a big reverb and redux on the hi. compress the hell out of the mid with a dynamic tube also, depending on the sound a auto filter with the LFO on it sounds nice, and the low saturator around 200hz for some oomph. or another thing datsik does hell use the same sound repeating twice in a wobble but hell play each one with a different chain of effects on each on, i made a audio rack, 2 chains with awesome effect chains, and just automate the chain selector and you get some crazy sounds!
also using the simple delay with a really quick time in ms gives you that robotic metal sound
