Dutty Ranks is one of New Zealand's most prolific and diverse Dubstep and bass music producers. He is the label owner of "Abyss Recordings" and co host of the "Big Bad n Heavy" radio show. His distinctive sound has a jazz and soul influence with heavy dub basslines and intricate percussion. Seattle native Jerel Bromley aka Sublo began his musical career performing double bass in Orchestras at the age of ten. An ear for dense melodic compositions and sound design lead to an obsession with electronic bass music and in 2005 he began investing time and money into instrumental production. Influenced heavily by dub culture, Sublo crafts a unique sound which blends the variety of influences ranging from Baroque to Grime. Signed to Shift recordings in 2009, Sublo has quickly become a key producer in the west coast bass scene, further signing onto Phantom Hz, Gradient Audio, Hot N Heavy Recordings, and Brap Dem, with radio support from Rinse FM, BBC 1xtra, and Sub FM. When not working away in the studio, Sublo keeps busy opening for acts such as Rusko, Truth, Noah D, Joker, Emalkay, DZ, J:Kenzo and more. Forward thinking sound design and unforgettable melodies are the only expectation; the sound of Sublo has become defined by keys, grimey bass and slapping percussion with a heavy sub that runs as low and loud as possible...

Nebakaneza is nuts! I think he is certifiably insane, but he seems to find his therapy by slamming Dubstep through the speakers. Don't be surprised if he interacts with the crowd and throws random things at you in the name of fun and mayhem. He has an eerie yet sexy style that covers many aspects of Dubstep from the face melting wobbles, to the strip your clothes off sultry sounds. He is a DJ that likes to use his mixer and turntables as instruments, so you will see him playing with the music like a DJ should. He looks scary, but is a friendly soul. Don't be afraid to run up to him during a set and show him some love. He may just give you a bear hug and show you love back.

The masked DJ has created quite the splash in the Bay Area dubstep scene. Since crawling out of the shadows in January of 2010 and joining the Irie Cartel crew, he has put out countless mixes, been in various publications, and helped start Ritual, one of the largest reoccurring dubstep events on the West Coast. He is a dubstep DJ with a wide range of styles from the ragga joints, to the sexy sub bass sounds, to the nasty filth, or the UK uptempo style. You may have seen him at the Emissions Campout, the Dub Fillmore festival, the Elements campout, Camp Questionmark's stage at Burning Man, Dub Mission or opening for Borgore and Caspa. This phantom is showing no signs of slowing down and is forever expanding his style, and his passion for bass is infectious.

Ritual BBQ's are back every 4th Thursday for the summer of 2012.

*****If you just turned 21 in the last week, show us your ID and your first drink is on us.*****

Drink Special is a shot of Don Julio Blanco + any beer for $10.

Cash only at the door.
Credit Cards are accepted at the bar but a $20 minimum is required.

Event is at Temple Nightclub (540 Howard St.) in San Francisco every Thursday for the 21+ crowd. Admission is 5 dollars, or free if you are in line before 10pm. We rock from 10pm to 3am. There are no ins and outs.

Artists of any medium are welcome to set up in the destiny lounge downstairs and create during the evening. We have a handful of painters, and artists of various mediums, that bless us every week. Anyone is invited to set up and share their gift with others.

After every Ritual, the Irie Cartel will be making a small donation to the Bay Area chapter of the American Red Cross. The money will go towards the next local disaster similar to the San Bruno explosion, or any upcoming earthquake. Backpacks must checked into Coat Check. There are pat downs at the entrance that are targeting weapons, alcohol and items used for graffiti. There will be a machine outside that scans ID's. Your information is not shared with anyone and it is deleted shortly after the night is over.
