Thats what I'll be having for afternoon tea in 23 minutes. I can't wait.Baron_von_Carlton wrote:Mmmmmm Crumpets im hungry now.Butter and strawberry jam![]()
I don't drink water unless it's boiled and infused with Chinas finest grade of Tea.Nations where built on tea,a tradition which goes back to the early days of the British empire.Im not proud that we fucked over millions of people but without it id probably be drinking that nasty skank breath smelling Coffee nonsense.I can't relax after drinking coffee it makes me feel on the edge and i can't sleep.Tea on the other hand creates an aura of calm and tranquility.Plus evidence suggests that unlike Coffee it is incredibly good for your health.perkalerk215 wrote:so i never understood this tea and crumpets or biscuits thing over there....i know in america people love their coffee. and fast food. but i feel like its different than the english and their tea.
How very true. I have, at this very moment, 2 crumpets in the toaster and a pot of Earl Grey gently brewing.Baron_von_Carlton wrote: Crumpets and Biscuits just taste good and happen to go perfectly with a good cup a Cha.

Just watch this video its 7 minutes long and outlines how crazy the Chinese are about Tea compared to us Brits.Notice how little tea he gets to drink after the whole process. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLcGch6koh4perkalerk215 wrote:word. so i get the whole tradition thing and all, but it still is just so odd to me that the whole country like sets aside "tea time" with their crumpets and all. it is a nice idea. and cool people care enough about their history or whatever. or just the whole health aspect of it...but im still just taken back by the whole idea.
coffee is not supposed to relax you by the way. americans love this shit because its like crack, only legal and not as nasty as crack or meth or something. but they live off of this shit. i drink it from time to time, as well as tea when i want to sip something hot.
i just am trying to maybe compare america with GB and see whats up with maybe if there is something we do that would be equally defining for our country. if that makes sense....
it throws me off all the time when my friend from england bitches that he hasnt had "tea time" yet throughout his day. im like, "dude, just grab a cup of tea"....you guys actually sit down and like praise the shit while sipping it. im hyped that you get so hyped about it.
I'm hyped that you're hyped that we're hyped. I was going to post a photo of round 2, but I felt it a tad gratuitous. Tea time is almost as good as Pub time.perkalerk215 wrote:im hyped that you get so hyped about it.
Ha! Yes, we also wear bowler hats every day.perkalerk215 wrote:word. so i get the whole tradition thing and all, but it still is just so odd to me that the whole country like sets aside "tea time" with their crumpets and all. it is a nice idea. and cool people care enough about their history or whatever. or just the whole health aspect of it...but im still just taken back by the whole idea.

There is no designated tea time, we drink tea all day. When we're not drinking tea, we're in the pub.
I don't know what it is about this glorious island upon which I am inhabited but it's fair to say that as a nation we're predisposed to getting drunk and battered on a regular basis. Was speaking to an American about this the other day - we're a nation of caners apparently.
No disrespect taken my good man, I for one do happen to wear a bowler hat everyday, and I'm exceedingly hyped about it too.perkalerk215 wrote: i know nothing about that. its a stereotype i wanted to ask about myself so i dont assume shit. NO DISRESPECT!...dont know how else to make that clear.
Yes, I guess I should add a bowler hat to my picture.perkalerk215 wrote:and im not a dude. im a chick.guess i should add a pic or something.
