Zong! Live from Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes on Friday August 17th 2012 brings you a night of surprises! A musical feast of highly-acclaimed, hot talent for less than the price of a KFC. On this merry outing we have Lazarus & The Plane Crash & Mowgli lined up.
Lazarus and the Plane Crash
A maniacal cocktail of gypsy, rockabilly and punk blues band with a sound like no other. I was only introduced to them recently and went to find their Horseplay album straight away. They have been described by the independent "as a peripatetic, eclectic magpie's nest of styles alternating between a badass Beefheartian blues rasp and a more courtly Cole Porter ". Mowgli
Probably the best hiphop lyricist I have heard emerge from the UK in a long time. Makes you reminisce about the days of Deal Real and Lowlife Records. Anyways on to a new chapter. Have a listen to Skydiver:
