A man in his 20s has been gang raped near a bridge in Milton Keynes.

Police are looking for four to six men after the attack on the Redway at the rear of Lamberts Croft, Greenleys, in the early hours of Monday.

The man was assaulted and raped by the men, said Thames Valley Police.

Det Insp Nick Glister said: "I would like to reassure people that we are treating this report very seriously and a team of detectives is working to gather evidence."

"We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or any suspicious activity in the area, or has any other information which may assist us with our investigation.

"We appreciate that this incident is likely to cause concern in the community and we ask anyone with any concerns to contact their neighbourhood team via 101."

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or has any other information is asked to call Thames Valley Police.
Dark.

Does the gender of the victim affect your feelings towards the story?

No. Gang rape in general is just not cool. Are you putting words in my mouth?

Not at all, hence my structuring of the response to your comment in the form of a closed question to yourself.

If I'd said "You're only saying that because he's a man", that would be putting words in your mouth. Note the difference between the closed question and the closed statement directed at yourself...the use of "does" as a prefix coupled with the question mark suffix is always a clue as to the nature of a post.

But let's not digress.

That's fucked up.

Gang rape along with being shat on by a pigeon are my worst fears.

I feel more uncomfortable hearing about men getting raped. I thought that was normal for men.

It was a pretty weird question given his response, dude... "What the fuck is wrong with people" would be a fairly par-for-the-course response if you'd posted a story about a female getting gangraped!

Possibly weirdly, I think I feel very slightly less uncomfortable about this than with a female. For some reason my psyche naturally thinks it might be easier for a man to cope with being overpowered because we grow up amongst physical powerplay more than girls... I have absolutely no proper basis for thinking that though. I'm pretty sure being raped would be the worst thing in the world.

It's just disgusting. People can be terrible.

Yeah it is an odd thing to make up.

I remember a few months ago, a girl went to the police in Brussels because she was raped in one of our infamous subway stations.
Few days later she had withdrawn it. She made it up because she was late for school.

Nevertheless a good thing they treat all rape reports seriously.
