No I'm not criticizing you, I just find it a bit funny that's all... But i think at the same time I'd rather have guests lurking and getting a feel for the forum before jumping in right away asking how to do the simplest of thing

Yup. I've been around in various guises for 2 years now and this is my first post. Not that I don't appreciate the tips and advice shared here, but a lot of times threads are either full of shit or there are too many opinions going around. Don't see any reason to throw my 2 cents around yet!

At first, about two years ago, I lurked because I was intimidated. I'd open threads and have no idea what anybody was talking about.

Now, though, it seems like there is a lot of information being passed around that is either misleading, hard to understand, or just straight up wrong. Also, dsf as a whole seems a lot more opinionated than a lot of previous forums I've frequented.

This isn't a good reason to sign up and post though. There is a lot of useful information being shared here. You just have to learn to filter out the crap.
