Been working hard to up my bassline game

Sounds OK to me! It feels there's like a level moving (kind of general wobble, but undesired) on the whole thing, like a compressor gone a bit wrong.
More low end and upper medium shouldn't hurt, but maybe it's intentional.

yeah, add more sub bass, move the level on the main bass and distort it a bit more add some more synths, and this should be sick.
