Since I'm a newbie here I thought I'd share a new track. Feedback is appreciated, but it's really hard for me to get online these days. No stable internet, except for my phone, when it wants to work, lol.

Soundcloud

Hope you guys enjoy.

Good sound until about 2m24s when those midrange noises start up...sounds like you've got a lot of different sounds fighting for space, and it's making things a bit disjointed as a result.

Liking the rising synth pattern in the background though, nice uplifting feel to it, especially with those heavy sounding church bell samples.

Beat programming towards the end where it switches up is quality as well, proper head nodding stuff going on.

Overall, enjoyed this :)

Thanks for the feedback, Wub. Much appreciated. It's funny, I played this live and that midrange sounded wonky to me as well. I need to get some cash flow so I can invest in flat response speakers to catch things like that, haha. In all seriousness, though, it does go to show the importance of testing your sounds, and I dropped the ball a bit there. Glad you enjoyed it otherwise. Cheers.

Playback through different speaker sets can help. Flat response monitors are good for mixing...listening back to the finished product through a generic hi-fi system/car stereo etc helps to get different perspectives on how things sound in the real world.
