Best sub woofer for home listening.

Ok so I have been into dubstep since around march and love the deep and physical sub bass sound the problem is I have only listened to it in my sony headphones. They have decent bass but I want to have a more physical listening experience. What sub woofer and amplifier would be best to achieve a deeper sound then my headphones? I am very new to all of this so I don't know much about speakers and such but any help will be appreciated.

thanks.

find some in your price range and post them here and I'll tell you whether they're good or not

Any will give you a deeper sound than headphones. I have a Bic H-100 that I test on just cause I've had it forever and I know how it sounds. Don't know if you want one for casual listening or reference purposes...just avoid getting anything passive. For day to day listening I've read nothing but good things about the Hsu subs in terms of musicality and detail. For mixing they're kind of unnecessary with all the tools available though. You most likely won't need an amp unless you're building one from scratch or putting it in your car, just need a receiver.

Higher end
http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-12-Inc ... subwoofers

And the lowered end one:
http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-10-Inc ... subwoofers

Also not looking for anything for producing or monitoring just listening to tunes. I would say my price range is 200 to 350 US dollars, I know I won't be getting room shaking bass for this amount but I just want something a bit better then my headphones. :D

Avoid that 10 inch polk at all costs. I've actually heard that for that price range, that 12" is oddly decent. But if you're looking for something around 200 roughly

this
http://www.amazon.com/BIC-America-F12-4 ... merica+f12

if you can go to 300

Under 300, Bic is the way to go unless you look in the used market

I have a 10inch Polk and I really like it, its got PLENTY of power too prob more than you need unless you are planning on really blasting tunes for a a huge party or something
