Mapping FX Mix Levels in FL to Keys

Supposing I wanted to link the mix level of a given effect on the mixer to a key on a keyboard so that whenever the key was played the mix was at 100% but when the key was released it would return instantly to 0% how would I go about doing that? Ive tried working with linking it to controller and the best result ive come up with was with setting the formula to input^24 which makes the mix level go straight from 0 to 100 but not back after the key is released. Any suggestions?

use fruity peak controller id say, link the mix to the peak of whatever sound your playing so as soon as it stops then it will turn the mix knob to zero. if your sound has a bit of release then layer a ghost synth (or whatever has no release, as long as the sound cuts off the moment you stop pressing the note) and use that to turn off the mix level.

I tried but i wasnt sure how to rig it to be completely on-off rather than stepwise, sunny's version seems like it would work but i resolved the problem because the plugin i was trying to map this with it turns out has a built in function like this lol. thanks for your help though
