is it possible? conceivable? i found one but i need a dongle for it so no go. preferably cheap or free cuz i can't afford ohmicide for at least a month.
any leads?
can any of you make my dream come true?

Try camel crusher if you want free.
I use Guitar rig but it is not cheap.

ahh i have camel crusher! it's just distortion.

looking something that generates a sound like a guitar feeding back on itself, as demonstrated in the beginning of this song

I'd create that with distortion, delay and reverb.

i've tried that. i can get some awesome sounds but not quite what i want. i think i just gotta start sampling :twisted:

Laptop Built In Mic -> Monitor Recording -> Turn Volume Up
Try guitar distortion and modeling plugins and sine waves.
I made a neat feedback sorta sound with fm synthesis and guitar oriented plugins one time

try that. It's free. You don't have to get the whole bundle, each plugin in the bundle can be downloaded by itself. But there's really no reason not to get them all. I personally use the Marvel one quite a bit.
