Alright so obviously as this is a dubstep forum i accept that it may be redundant to attempt to communicate and discuss music that isnt dubstep however i also think that there are many cousins so to speak of dubstep both aesthetically and in terms of musical philosophy as well as production methods and styles. Id like to pose the question to anyone who gives a fuck, do you like melodic electronic music, or more precisely if you do let me know. For example a small sample of the artists i listen to are : Zomby, Burial, Nosaj Thing, Flying Lotus, Gold Panda, Aphex Twin, James Blake, Bibio, Bjork, Future Sound Of London, Jon Hopkins, Mylo, Sbtrkt, Sqaurepusher. The reason i put this forward is to try and reach like minded people here on these forums. If you like and/or make music similar to any of these artists let me know so i can listen to your stuff.
Cheers.

Not sure exactly what you mean by 'melodic' music, it's a bit vague
But yes, you'll find a lot of fans of those artists on this forum, I think you'll fit in well here
Zomby is a bit infamous here though haha

Yeah i get that 'melodic' music is vague my bad for that. Thats why i just listed some of the tunes im into. I think what i mean is music that doesnt rely on bass as its main musical property not that its bad in anyway but i just prefer bass to support a tune rather than be its main attraction if you know what i mean. And yes i know lmao i spent the whole of last night going through his posts on here and he blocked me on twitter cause i was talking about his real name etc but i like his music so fuck it.

When you say melodic, i say Egoless. Be sure to check his music. He has a release on Lo Dubs and also a forthcoming one on the same label.
He also posted very nice free tunes in the Tunes section of this forum.

Check out pretty much everyone who released on the Hyperdub label ; Kode9, Darkstar, Ikonika, Joker, Morgan Zarate etc. - there's a Hyperdub compilation CD, you will love it
