I know I'm not the only one getting ready for next year.
Where's everyone else headed? You gonna study music or something else?

I'm looking into Music Tech/Computing/Systems at:
York, Goldsmiths, Bath and Leeds.

Where're you going? What are you taking?

Was all set to go this year studying sound design and technology, but found out a few weeks ago that I can't get any funding, as I already have a degree from years ago, Dam cutbacks, Gutted

hoping to study german and french next year, thinking of either leeds, sheffield, nottingham or edinburgh

anyone have any experience of going to any of those places? kinda concerned about nottingham's bad reputation for crime and shit but it seems like it was really exaggerated by the media

go to leeds- dont go to nottingham youre like 20 miles away from anywhere, sheffields just a shithole and edinburgh's scottish

I completed a trade qualification in music. I kind of consider it my year 12.

I was going to enrol in an online computer programming degree, but reading through this thread, I might see if there's a way I can do a music degree.

I'm hoping to study history and business...but a lot could change in 12 months

Unlikely to be honest, maybe shit's different in 'merica, but the only people i know who went into the field they studied did medicine. But chin-up, make it happen, just work hard!

Second year into a BA... honestly if you're thinking of doing one on its own don't even bother. Absolutely useless.

The only use they have is that they're very easy and broad, and it clears your time schedule so you can do shit on the side. I knew someone who did a BA but he was freelance writing on the side, and ultimately *that* was what landed him a decent paying job.
