hey guys, i'm finishing up a track and bounced mostly everything to audio, ableton 8.

i'm getting a shit ton of laggy cut out of the samples, kinda freezes up ableton, says buffering samples in the bottom right, flashing "R" in the upper left.

how can i work around this?

Indeed, have that problem routinely, the RAM button on audio clips is the shit.

One of the first things i knew about!

RTFM actaully helped alot when i did it

damn, i did this, destroyed everything. it freezes and i am forced to quit it, totally freezes everything up, makes me wish i never bothered hah.

and stupid me saved it with the ram activated on every clip so the project is corrupt now basically, it freezes everything up when i try to open it.

That's why "save a copy" is your friend. Try sending the ALS file to a buddy who has enough RAM to open it.

good idea, i can take a USB to my buddys house and rescue it. thanks man! i haven't seen this "save a copy" feature, must be blind, i'll look for it now, thanks.
