Yeah...the only one is GZ Lodenice...Its near Prague....
But I do not recommend them a lot, because they sometimes heavy limit records and cut off bass !!! which is pretty fucked up for dubstep, although I have already made 3 vinyls there and if you watch the fat old guy pushing the buttons and bring him some chocolate, it should be ok.....

Try mastering the laquers in UK (transition? or wherever)

(by mail if neccessary)

Then have them shipped to your plant in CZ

Don't worry, UK mastering houses always ship in steel boxes, with the laquers bolted in, plenty of space surrounding...so little chance of damage

Then have the crystalography done at your plant (metalwork positives)

Hope this helps you....

They ALWAYS have to roll off SOME bottom end in order to cut vinyl, wherever you go, otherwise it mashes up the cutting head on the lathe..

That's why they often try and EQ a bit in the LF to compensate, but they only have to really roll off sub 30hz or so, mostly inaudible anyways, and a bit always remains due to the curve of the EQ (shelf)

Is every one listening. I tend to cut at 35hz.

Transition Mastering seems to be the current favoured place to cut dubstep..

Don't have their number on me but I'm sure you can google them or whatever, or they must be in a directory somewhere on the net

They are very nice people and I'm sure they'll help you out.

might be costly though compared to where you are currency wise.

hope it works out for you

Does anyone know, how much would be vinyl master pressing in Transitions or somewhere else? Just aproximately.....We have quite limited budget, so I would like to know how much cocaine do I have to sell :)

for a double sided 12" with 1 track per side, you will be looking at approx £200 at any mastering house, although I haven't cut masters with Transition so I don't know their exact prices...

also good are Optimum Mastering and Heathmans - try googleing for them. :4:

nah still just under £200 for a 12" plate I believe, I know a few peeps who still cut their lacquers there. Nothing against Transition at all, but imo Heathmans are the best out there - the mix isn't coloured at all, flat, deep and very very loud.

a world without colour.

sometimes a little character is nice.

not all about loud either, it's not a competition.

whatever happened to dynamics.

NO OFFENCE ANYWAY IT'S ALWAYS BEEN EACH TO HIS OWN WITH MASTERING ANYWAYS..NO-ONE IS THE BEST

We regularly ship to GZ its not expensive because they have a UK depot.
Thinkking
I love competition,It gets me up early in the morning but i do not believe that i have ever cut anything for you.So what have you based your opinion on?

by coloured i mean that, to me, some Transition cuts sound slightly coloured, particularly in the mids - i've compared some 12"s that they've cut with my own dubs and the difference is quite surprising. At the end of the day, Transition has dubstep locked down and the support of the 'big boys' so it don't matter what I think, but sometimes I feel the mix has been tweaked a bit too much for me.

as for dynamics, I don't wanna hear anything limited too much trust me, but I'm always happy to have a nice loud cut - Heathmans have on occasion blown me away with how much volume they get out of their cuts.
