The vocal sample in this is really catchy. Really not to sure on that bass though, sounds pretty cheap. I guess everyone will be into it because its Joy.

bit more on the functional side of things
than I'd like
Ya'll need to calm down a bit with your YouTube aggro rip madness.

less emotive than his earlier work
this one is still incredible
a bit euphoric and cheesy,
but what's wrong with that?
Yeah his earlier work had a bit more depth to it. The stuff he has done with boddika was really strong, although they are more on boddika vibe.
This is really disappointing from such a big name.

The first 2 Sunklo records were ace but I'm not a massive fan of Sunklofree, was just a bit too.. for me.

Really?
His new tracks are wicked, very different to the heavily sample-led tracks true, but good none-the-less.

What?
This is like the best from him in ages.
All the Boddika collabs are pretty meh.
This is cool and pretty fun even. Vocal is really good and the beat is just enough off-kilter with the drums and WOMP being slightly off.

yeah this track and the Donell Jones edit one are amazing, I'm going to the Hessle Audio night in Bristol tomorrow and these will more than likely both be dropped...I cant fucking wait!

People far too often associate using a R&B vocal as being "emotional" or "soulful". I like his old tunes and I like his new tunes, but just because he isn't using a pad and an Usher acapella doesn't mean he is phoning it in in the studio.

+1 on that.
It's not too hard to make a track more "emotive" by just slapping some clichéd pitched down 90's R&B vocal on top of your beat.
