So i keep reading all over the place that every producer had their own style and a way they do things. So hire do you know what your style is? I guess i prefer the dark side of things pads, low strings, reverb, but is that my style? How do you know what your style is?

I keep reading on different forums and etc that ecru producer has a style. How do you know what your style is? I don't really understand it either but i keep seeing it.

Im really struggling to giv you an answer I'm afraid, a style is just a style. Like, how it sounds, their particular recognisable methods.

Do just the way you do things? thank you for trying to help. I don't really understand what it means either I'm assuming it's what you said just the methods a producer uses. I thought maybe it had to do with the type of music for instance a dubstep producer like suhk knight vs datsik or excision they have different styles of dubste knight is really reggeaish and excision and datsik are more transformerish. I guess just the way you do things. Idk.

Just make things. that will be your style, theres no need to try and make a style unless you want to learn to make a tune with that vibe. after a while all your amassed knowledge will mould into your own style

Your style comes after making thousands of tracks, once you have tried enough things, there will become patterns in what you do to the point you can hear a certain something that you/others can tell its you. This is not something that you should try and force.

your style is what your influenced by and into outside of the genre your making, you own uniqueness comes form how you inerpret those influences into the genre your making. IMO unless your pulling from what your into outside of the genre your actually working on your always gonna be steps behind what the other guys are already doing within the genre your making.

I'm influenced by almost every piece of music i listen to i enjoy almost every type of electronica i haven't found one yet that i can't listen to and pick out things that influence me this is the same with classical music, rock, and a bit of hip hop. I listen to music all day everyday while i work, when i get home I'm making it when i go to sleep i put on pandora a mix of classical (mozart mostly) a mix of dubstep, drum and bass, and glitch hop. So i feel that im inspired by all music.

Just make shit, a lot of it.

Your style is a reformed position of your creativity.

People will be able to tell it's you by the fact that you're making your own shit and not trying to copy anyone else. Patches and stuff are okay, but making your owns synth's/drums and melodies from the ground up etc is a key point because you will make synths towards what you personally like.

Like artists paint, draw and sketch music is generally the same way.

Artist's take tips, follow basic guidelines but always have their own specific style that no other artist really has. At times, similarities will pop up, but if you keep doing what you do. It will just come.

Musician's also follow this principal!

Example: I really love the piano/bells/high stuff but I also love deep and dark stuff. So I tend to mix the two. Well Screw it' just look at my piano piece, you'll know what I mean even if it is shite~

I'm only 4 months into composition now started in june, slowly it's coming together. Just keep practicing and don't wonder about "Styles" or any of that. Just care about knowledge to help you reform your style!

It isn't really possible to find a style, unless you totally copy someone else's.. Which isn't good
There's so many 'styles' I wish I could produce but it just doesn't happen for me. Just go with the flow when making beats and let everything come out naturally like I do. Try hard enough and you might get recognized for it then that's pretty much your style if that makes sense
