Hi!
This is a new tune I just finished. Might be a little quiet because i suck at mastering and didn't want to destroy the song by limiting it too much.
Anyway, I hope you like it and feedback is always welcome!

Very nice! Love the growling bass. A suggestion would be to stretch the snares, add some reverb or layer them with a longer sound, so that they "ring out" a bit more, to get that lurching feel going even more

Thanks! I tried to add some reverb to the snare but didn't get it to work nicely. I have layered the snare with this kind of metallic sustained sound but it doesn't really cut through the aggressive bassline. But yeah good suggestion and i'll keep that in mind for future tunes

This is an absolute beast of a track. I'd love to be able to make a bass like that, I don't even know where to start...

Thanks! Glad you like my tune

These bass sounds are basically just reeses, they sound complex but they are definately not that hard to make. Just start with making a good reese sound, then add distortion and filtering and then a little distortion again

... and use glide to get from note to note. That's basically it! And I recommend reading the Reese Bass Thread from the production section, there are very good tips on how to make reeses. Hopefully that helps a little

Notch filters are great when you want add a lot of movement to your reese.
