Any good free ones about? Need to record some presentations and some tutorials, and would like some recommendations. Can't be bothered trawling through a bunch of lame ones!

i use bandicam, but it's not free, but not expensive either
like $40 for a license

do you have a latest phone, the one with the camera? couldn't you set it up on front of your screen to record?

Fraps..

But the quality is pretty low.. I think you can improve it however.

fraps isn't low quality, but it records as raw avi which rapes hard drive
bandicam does the same thing but encodes on the fly for smaller files size
like if you look at my youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/DeadlyHabit) all the vids with game and screencap for the most part are done with bandicam with the exception of a couple like this one which i did with fraps and had to spend loads of time encoding in virtualdub

honestly if i wanted 60 fps HD footage i'd use fraps and encode to smaller size in virtualdub overnight, but for youtube HD quality bandicam gets the job done

Camstudio's alright, but it really depends on how much space you're going to need for it.

I can't remember what format it saved in.
