Deep End presents the Butterz Takeover, as part of Butterz Black & Yellow Tour 2012

Friday 16th November @ Cellar Door, Exeter

SWINDLE (Deep Medi/ Butterz / Rinse FM / Planet Mu)

This multi-talented musician and producer first learnt the piano aged 8 and was recording music by age 13. His unique brand of jazzy grime, dubstep and uk funky has led him to From 2007-2009 he wrote beats for the likes of Professor Green, Chipmunk, Roll Deep, Asher D and Roses Gabor, before finally gaining some of the recognition he deserves for his instrumental productions. He released the underground smash, Airmiles on Planet Mu in 2010 and then got snapped up by Butterz, who put out his biggest track to date, Mood Swings in 2011. He's since collaborated with Newham Generals to devastating effect on "Ignition", put out a very strong collab release with Silkie called Unlimited, got his "Do the Jazz" EP signed to Mala's Deep Medi imprint and collaborated with Toddla T and Sam Frank on "Need to know" on his own imprint "Swindle Productions". Swindle is killing it dead at the minute..!

ELIJAH & SKILLIAM (Butterz / Rinse FM)

These boys have been dubbed the leaders of the new grime wave, taking the scene by storm with their Rinse FM residency (now spanning 3 years), their Butterz label and club nights and regular sets at the legendary FWD>> nights. Their label has been consistently innovative and forward thinking, releasing some monstrous cross over tunes such as SX's Woo Riddim and Boo You by P Money, as well as bangers from both the most dominant new grime producers in the game (such as Swindle, Royal T, Champion, Preditah etc) and also the scene's most respected veterans, like Terror Danjah, DOK and Trim (Roll Deep). Their focus on quality music and ability to stay away from the hype, war and clashing that's held back grime for too long has set them apart in the scene.

Listening back though all my Butterz vs Harddrive mixes from the last couple of nights they've done at Cabel. The July night was nuts. Awesome way to recover from Bloc dementedness. So hyped for Friday. Here's hoping for Inside The Ride VIP!! :P:
