NI Massive Question: Click noise at beginning of note

I'm using NI Massive in Ableton, making a sub/dub bass sound. Using Sin Tri, Vulgar, Math II. When I play a note with my midi controller, or with my computer keyboard (or any other way) I get an annoying click at the beginning of each note. I've googled this and found several articles on this site. I've followed suggestions to change the buffer size, which I did, although my CPU is nowhere near maxed (10-13%). I've seen people suggest messing with the oscillators, but I'm not using any oscillators. I've also tried messing with the oscillator phases in the OSC tab. I've tried changing the attack and release in the envelope, that also didn't work. I've also messed around with the voicing/number of voices in the voicing tab. It's not too noticeable in the mix, but it's definitely there, and I would like to fix it if at all possible. After reading quite a few posts on this site, I finally decided to make an account and ask you all, because this seems to be where the knowledgeable people are. Hopefully somebody knows the answer to this perplexing problem! :?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I'm using envelope 3 and the attack is all the way up. Sorry I posted in the wrong section. If one of the mods could move it that'd be great.

try applying an envelope to the filters. Had the same issue before and after a load of experimenting that was the only fix.

Are you using envelope 3 as the amp envelope? Normally its envelope 4. The amp envelope is the one you need to tweak slightly to get rid of clicks at the beginning of the note, just raise the attack bit by bit till the click goes.

Yeah, raise the attack on the amp envelope. Release can be raised a bit too. And make sure you dont have a really short decay env on a filter or pitch or something

ENV 4

Attack up a bit, and if theres a click at the end, release up a bit.

its a glitch in massive. low frequency notes have a click at the beginning even with attack and release settings right.
sometimes enabling restart via gate fixes it, other times it doesnt. (it only happens with the cracked version of massive, newer versions its fixed)
either buy massive or if you have then its definitely something to do with your envelope.

Isnt it becuase the waveform is starting not at a zero crossing point?

Wow thanks for all the replies guys! Yes Envelope 3 is my Amp envelope, it's usually 4, but this time I'm using 3. And my attack is all the way up. I've tried a bunch of different things with the ADSR settings and nothing seems to work. Sinestepper's diagnosis seems interesting. How do I change the phase of the waveforms? Blinkesko, very cool song btw, just DLed. You got anything on iTunes? Would love to throw some dollar support your way :D

There is a nob named Wt - position in the osc section.

I have the same problem sometimes, it has nothing to do with a cracked version as I am fully up to date and legal.

lrn2wavetablesynthesis

It's interpolating between few waveforms, not changing the phase of a waveform :6:

Just enable "restart via gate" or sumthing like that, and then play around with those sliders from 0 to 360.
It's changing the phase of a waveform. If not enabled, the phase of the waveform will be different each time you play a note.

I'll give that a try, thanks man! Oh and cool logo. Who designed it?

Can you elaborate on this?

So... It is about changing the phase..? Anyway I've already messed with those sliders and it didn't take away the click.

Once again thanks for all the replies, I really appreciate your help.

if nothing works try re-installing massive it might be a glitch. Do you have any other VST's? Does it only do with with massive? Also are you talking about sound presets or even when you synthesize your own sound?
