When you guys are making dubstep or complextro and inputting all of your glitches, do you guys put your pieces on a sampler and actually play it or do you sit there and put in piece by piece? I' curious to know how other people are going about doing it.
I know it all depends I'm curious how different people do it
thanks for the help.

Id definitely say it depends. But for me personally, I use a combination of both of the techniques you mentioned. If I have a "batch" of glitchy samples that are sort of similar (i.e. a bunch of "bubbly" sounds, a bunch of snaps, etc) I would probably put those into a drum rack together, just so that I can process them together with similar EQ, compression, and FX.
In other cases, if I have a glitch sample that may only appear once or twice in the track, or one that I want to make a bunch of variations in audio format by reversing, stretching, and pitching up or down, I might just leave it as its own audio track. I dont think it really matters how you do it. Just whatever seems to make sense in your workflow at the time.

i just piece it together with audio, i find it's easiest to manipulate audio very quickly in logic (it's all i've ever used) so if i make the sound from a plugin I just make a bunch of different options and bounce them all down and just mute ones I dont want to throw in yet. going further bus'ing all the glitch/sound tracks together and putting a bit of glue on them also helps them stick together

I always find it easier to just work with audio, even if it means bouncing down layers etc. I think its a subconscious thing where by making it all audio I separate the sound design and arrangement process so it shifts my mindset.

With audio hits, you can see where the waveforms are.

Only really just started to get the hang of dub step.. and by that i mean i'm still struggling lol. I'm doing it piece by piece. Making sure I design all my own bass leads & growls but using samples to blend them in so to say.
Bang my first post.. it's a masterpiece

I make a bunch of different synth sounds, play them in the key of the song and render them to audio and then i just put all the audio bits together
