Went back to this tune and mixed down the track again in Cubase.
Let me know if you like it and what you don't like and if the mixdown is good / not good. I haven't heard it on a loud system yet.
Thanks!

Quite like it man, but not fully convinced on it. Kinda feel like you're not fully sure of what it's meant to be in a sense. I would have pushed those eerie strings more into the forefront and tried to make it more atmospheric as those appeal to me much more than the chords which I'm not too sure on. The bass is good, high hats are good and maybe the snare should have more reverb.
But nice work nonetheless

i know what you mean, the riffs in it don't always seem to flow together.
Having said that, I really like the way the piano riff progresses and builds, its wicked. And the flute sound is nice! Although it could do with being ruffed up a bit, or maybe reverbed a bit more or something to my ears...

As above! Yeah, the snare sounds a bit abrupt, the decay on it is really short and cuts off. I reckon it would sound cool with a slightly quicker attacking sound. a bit of reverb could work, as would fiddling with/layering the snare sample. Depends on what you're going for though
