quick question about bouncing to audio

Little confused on bouncing to audio....i have about 5 or 6 instances of massive running, each one with a different bass, and i have a good loop going with a good groove, but i want to bounce to audio so i can delete some of the instances of massive/change up the bassline with different sounds from massive, but im the top of producer who always is changing little things especially when i get to the mixdown stage, so i feel like if i bounce my bassline to audio i wont be able to go back later the loop i made into audio and change a sound or tweak a sound if i feel the need to. what is the best way of bouncing to audio?
thank you

why dont you just save two projects, one for the audio version and another for the synths/midi, so if youre not happy with the bounced versions you can go back to the originals and tweak

Bounce it, keep the Massive patches loaded but muted, re-bounce if you change the patch?

I usually save as every time i make a major change. Most projects have 30-40 versions by the time i'm at the mixdown stage.
