FL Studio to Ableton?

I am getting into dubstep production, and I recently purchased FL Studio 10. I am also considering purchasing Ableton, or at least getting the free trial, to use as the main dubstep softtware, then just use FL Studio for drum beats. Is this a good way to go, or is it better to make ALL the dubstep in FL Studio or ALL the dubstep in Ableton?
Thanks!

Once you move over to Ableton comfortably you'll never look back. I've been using ableton for over a year after switching from FL and I don't regret anything.

Ableton is really easy to learn. That is of course probably subjective, but for me it was easy to pick up. I've tried every DAW under the sun and never had an issue learning any of them. Except Reaper (I hope Electic_Head doesn't read this) I've bounced around and i've finally moved back to Ableton to get back into the groove of it for the upcoming new release, which will add the features that pushed me away from it. Being that Live is so widely used in many EDM genres, the youtube tutorials for it are plentiful. You shouldn't have any issue learning it if you put in the effort.

You battled with Reaper?
It has a shortcut for every command.
Nothing easier.

Still don't understand why people starting out are switching DAWs. Just pick one and stick with it, using 2 really isn't going to make you better.

Picking a DAW is like picking a girlfriend. You don't want to stick with the wrong fit. You have to be promiscuous.

If you're going to do a lot of sampling from YouTube, you might also want to consider getting a Nuendo host machine as it handles the 1060p video compression audio rips better.

1060p? I may have to research this.
Does it come with a power cable?
