KP3 Routing Problem: KP+ ABLETON + M-AUDIO OZONE + ASIO4ALL

I just bought a KP3 that I'm trying to route into Ableton through the M-Audio Ozone audio interface. The Ozone has one instrument input, one XLR input and one Aux Input, and one stereo output. I'm inputing the lineout of the KP3 into the Aux Input of the Ozone, and then the output of the Ozone back into the KP3's line in. What I'm trying to achieve by this is feeding the KP3 the output of live, so that I can mangle the samples and monitor them. This works when I'm monitoring through the KP3, except that it wets every track coming through, not only the one I inserted the External Effect in. Since the Ozone's output is the only one avalaible to me right now (no mixer or other interfaces), I'm using ASIO4ALL so that I can enable both the Ozone sound card and my PC's to work at the same time. Everything seems to be ok in ASIO4ALL, the Realtek outputs are working fine, and showing, and both the output and input of ozone are also up and running.
The major problem is: Say that I have a sample armed on a Ableton track that I want to effect with the KP3. I throw in an External Effect device and route it so that it's receveing the input from the ozone (hence, the KP3's) and outputing it to my factory soundcard. The Inputs and Outs of ozone are showing as 1 and 2 in ASIO4ALL, so I assume that the factory soundcard's outs are showing as 3 and 4 on Ableton. So I route the EX. EFF. device to receive audio from 1 and 2 and output to 3 and 4, and I get absolutely no sound from it. Nothing. When I route it to receive and output on a loop (audio from Ableton to the KP3 and KP3 to ableton), all I get is the dry signal coming through, no matter how I play the pad.
The reason I'm trying to implement this is so that I can mangle audio with the KP3 at the same time I monitor and manipulate other ableton sound sources not affected by it. From what I gather, the External Effect device should allow me to do this, but the routing is eluding me, and this is getting highly frustrating? I think I'm getting closer to solve it, but there's still something I don't get.
Any help is appreciated.
