Such a powerful snare?

Okay, I've been producing a little over a year now, here's an example of one of my most recent pieces of work

Soundcloud

I can get a pretty good kick / snare sound, but no matter how much I layer snares with rides / cymbals etc I still can't get the kind of sound that hits at about 0:09 seconds in this video

Any advice?

To be honest it sounds pretty much the same as what you have except with a high passed crashed with a shortish delay over the top of it, perhaps boost some of the highs in the snare too.

weak samples..

bounce out that snare you have made as one sample.
then, you need a snappy-as-shit clap, and a snappy white noise snare hit, and a very punchy snare.
get a few different ones of each.

now, once you have ~8-10 samples, start layering ~4 at a time, experiment until you find 4 that sound realllllly good together.

STAGGER THESE SAMPLES. have a punchy or snappy sample hit RIGHT on the beat, have the other staggered to start just a few MS after the initial sample. experiment and find the best order or staggering, and how much staggering.... this is all up to what you want.

then, when ya get all this done, throw some ny comp on there, (~50ms attack, ~200ms decay, slam the threshold til it sounds good).

now, try saturating and high passing a bit if it's still now what you're wanting.
