been working on this one for a few days now, the bassline has been giving me a bit of trouble. sounds good on my monitors, levels wise, but in the car it was kinda loud with an earlier mix. reworked it a bit and was hoping someone with less tired ears and some monitors would take a listen. Any feedback is appreciated really.

this one has been sitting on my hard drive for a few weeks now, made some pretty big changes to it in between working on the other track. They're very similar I think. The mix sounds really dull to me, i'm not positive why, at least compared to the other one. Same problem though, can't tell if the sub is too loud in the mix.

wave forms are pretty big... I tried to make the mix a bit loud since I can't afford proper mastering just yet. Will most definitely turn things down once the time comes. Just wanted it loud/clear enough to play out.

thanks

1st one. Cool intro, izan aliens shit, love the subby kick, percs are okay, nice little sounds put there, nice bongos. Like the tune mate!

2nd. Quite original percussion, nice efxs on vocal sample, snare at 1:32 is a bit too loud i think, quite repetitive after some time too. Bongos at 3:40 are fine, vocals here are amazing again.

Both good tunes, preferred the first for the switch down towards the final third. Second tune could maybe have benefitted from a bit more variation on programming to break up the loopy vibe.

Cool, thanks for the feedback both of you. I really appreciate it. Seems you both were okay with the first track, which is cool because I've spent more time on it. Did you think the volume of the sub was okay? That's been an issue for me, trying to make sure its not too overbearing.

Definitely going to add some more variation to the drums in the 2nd on, I started it maybe a month or two ago as a "warm-up" for another more serious project I was working on and never went back to it until recently. Now that you mention it, I did only use 1 hi hat pattern throughout so i'm really glad you pointed it out. going to put some more time in later tonight.

Thanks again, much appreciated!
