Hello, been working on this one for a while and I would love some opinions

I think the sub sounds like it's distorting the drums somehow while still not being very loud, too much compression? How can I fix this?

Thanks for listening

I do hear a slight bit of distortion in the sub as well. Are you low passing your Sub and sidechaining it with your kicks?

I am low passing it, I'll try side chaining and see if it helps, thanks

Could be a headroom issue - are the drums hitting at any freqs that would interfere with the sub?

They shouldn't be, EQ'd the drums to 500 while sub is 110

tried to fix it abit, still sounds like the sub is 'stealing' the other layers to me though

EDIT:
might just be my laptop being broken, sounds alright on my desktop

hmmm...maybe try muting the channels one by one and then playing combinations of them together until you can identify the clash?

Is your sub mono and panned dead center?
