do you confront them on it? A friend of mine just posted some real racist shit on facebook and I felt kinda conflicted about what to say/not say. I tried to make a good point without outright calling her a racist but it was kinda unavoidable.

No cuz none of my friends are actually racist/homophobic/sexist, we just like to joke and fuck around

i usually call them out, then proceed to give them shit.

Sometimes some of my friends make racist jokes, but I'm too much of a pussy to say anything. Think I'm going to make a change.

Depends what it is. my mom lives in a small country town & some of the people i've met there are so racist, but also so oblivious to it

For some reason they think everyone who isn't white is from pakistan & that calling them a 'pakki' is fine & not at all offensive

I've tried to explain it many times but they don't get it, and it does really piss me off

Think they just believe what their dumb fuck parents tell them about other nationalities taking over england & then pass unfair judgement

But then with my good friends i think as long as it's a joke & the other person can take it i think it's fine, like i call alot of my black friends n*gga & they call me white chocolate

well, none of my actual friends are like that or else we wouldn't be friends. but if it's an acquaintance or something, i definitely call them out. i don't tolerate it..not even from family.

By and large most of my friends are on the same wavelength as me with regards to this sorta shit, however Bromley being quite a right-wing conservative area I do know plenty of xenophobic, racist, sexist, homophobic and transphobic (grrrrrrr...) fuckwits that live round here, they know to keep quiet around me because I routinely have to call people out over stuff like that and make them look foolish
