I started producing last month and have no idea even where to begin with confessions. I mean I still only use one track....in fruity loops.

After being abandoned by my parents, I ended up killing my father and having sex with my mother.
EDIT: Wrong thread. Whoops.
No, in all seriousness, I use a lot of the same patches in all my tracks.

I sometimes ignore clipping, especially in Massive. I don't know why. When things are sounding good I hate to sacrifice volume, especially when your ears can't really notice any clipping to begin with. AND, I spent hours yesterday trying to make a decent kick and snare (layering, eq, comp, whole 9 yards...) only to realize it sucks ass today. I spent even more time on it and they still suck. I don't know why I have so much trouble making good kicks and snares. It is really getting on my nerves and holding me back from making songs because I get too fucking frustrated with getting them to sound right, only to fail at it again and again. And when I get frustrated I usually end up taking a break from working and next thing you know, there goes the day. It may sound dumb but I just wish I was better at everything.

I used to be good at playing guitar/bass/drums. Now I just make simple noises with said instruments and copy/paste until it sounds like music.

i rely too much on visual representation of frequencies. i still don't know how to properly gel midrange into a mix to make it powerful but not overpowering.

I have no idea how a flanger works. I know how it sounds but as far as what it's technically doing to the sound, nothing.
