Or go to your local Ikea and get an Expedit shelf. Cheap and does the trick.

I have the biggest of the expedit shelves you can get and it's ideal.

Started off looking at the expedit, but then read how they aren't designed to cope with the weight of vinyl and found photos of collapsed ones.
Would ideally like something that will fit my decks on top.
Which Expedit models are you using? I've got approx 900 vinyls

Normally they come with brackets so you can secure them to a wall. They won't collapse when you do that.

There's a whole thread on here about how to make your own DJ desk thingy with an Expedit shelf and some other Ikea stuff.
Lots cheaper than other DJ furniture but still does the trick.

EDIT: here you go http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.p ... it=expedit

Expedit work fine for me, been using them for about 5 years full of records and hasn't collapsed yet.

Avoid these.

They're good but they have plastic bits around the edge sticking inwards, means I have to take the vinyls out at an angle which is okay but a nightmare for gatefold stuff.. scraps the edges and damages the cover.

and put foam on the sides. They stack nice, move easy, and slide away easy

Expedit shelf and the little boxes that are designed to fit in them work perfectly.

I was having trouble with all the records in my box leaning back and putting excess weight on the ones at the back of the box which also meant I had to hold them forward while I was flicking through. Had the idea to tape a couple of book ends to a record mailer and put it in the bottom of the box to space the records out a bit, it works an absolute charm :)

theyre really only liable to collapse when you set them up the tall way, mine is horizontal (4x2) and is really really stable

I found that expedit desk to be a little bit high for me, I ended up glueing the legs from an Ikea Lack table to the bottom of the expedit and that made it a comfortable height.
