You should tell him he's a spam zombie if these are emails. His computer could be infected with nastiness and if it's the same computer that is used for writing music....well.....
If it's a myspace bulletin board post, it means that the person has been fooled into giving their passord away by logging into a vanity site that promises to "show you who looks at your page the most", but in reality just takes your password and then a bot uses the account to spam people with.
