Hello!

So er, I've been having a go at this music thing after listening to a bunch of the non-wubby dubstep, or post dubstep, maybe it's even called future garage these days I'm not sure, I only really know Shanks and Bigfoot. Looking for some honest feedback, it's my first attempts at this kind of stuff and it's a bit stodgy and maybe musically a bit crap, so I want to make my next attempts better!
Inspiration is from The Orb, Amon Tobin, Boards of Canada, and that guy that makes the tracks with the pitch-corrected R&B samples and woodblock snaredrums with loads of crackle ;)

Not bad for a first attempt. You clearly know your way around a sequencer / sampling etc. Overall the elements are quite confusing though - I recommend that next time you pick only a handful of rhythmic and musical ideas to express in a track. Use, repeat, elaborate and embellish those. Otherwise what you have is a confusing mess that, to the outsider is hard to penetrate and 'get' on first impression.

Keep up the good work, just KEEP producing more tracks. You will improve drastically with each new song you do. Try not to revisit old tracks too much, I've made this mistake before. It does not further you as a musician.

Hey, thanks for the response! Very insightful, I guess I fell in to a bit of a structural trap. Will be keeping this feedback in mind as I move forwards... hope to improve the ideas mess in my next track!
