I was just going through some records and realized that D1's first release as D1 was Crack Bong on Tempa Allstars vol 2. His track was the first track on the D-side, aka D1. I know I'm about 9 years late to this discussion, and maybe it's just a coincidence. But I don't think there is such a thing as a bad reason to talk about older Tempa releases

they put his tune on the hessle comp on the d1 side too. probably jsut for lolz

interesting. was that his last appearance on vinyl? would be interesting if he started as D1 on D1 and finished as D1 on D1

discogs says his first name his dwayne, so i reckon the d1 comes from that. putting him on d1 on those two releases is just too good to pass up i think

i find it interesting that his first release was that tempa allstars though... you're hardly an "allstar" if youve never released on the label before, no? not complaining though, vol 02 is still one of my favorite releases ever. real zeitgeist release imo

I think youngsta had already brought his name some recognition, but no doubt it was at a crazy time in the scene.
