One of the first gigs we played, with Tek-One headlining, used a really shit american audio mixer with would only take headphones with a small jack. There was one Stanton CDJ, where the jog wheel didnt do anything and the other one was a top loading gemini cdj.....absolutely horrible setup. Think I managed one, maybe 2 mixes that didnt clang.

played on some dodgy 1000's once, would just load a tune halfway through and wouldn't let you set any cue points, was an absolute nightmare but we still had a luagh.

this. i've been fortunate enough to never grace anything that bad but there's been times when turntables would be fuckery with traktor cueing which was always difficult

cheap for beginners innit. aka means the same company can justify putting expensive price tags on their 'premier' direct drives.

I used to have the numark belt drives when I first started out like 10-12 years ago. Was like £250 for 2 decks and a mixer package. I could mix like a badman on them......but couldnt mix for shit on Technics because of it.lol.

Arriving at a club that only had normal cd players.
No pitch control what so ever.
No cue button.
And a mixer that only had a crossfader.

lol you're such a light weight.
I assume I'd taken mushrooms as well.
When you're as good as I am you don't get flustered.
All business.
I think I was even complemented on my mixing.
It was shit.
