Chewing tobacco and producing

As of lately I've starting to chew tobacco when I'm producing and I find that it helps me calm down and focus on what I'm doing. Anyone else have an experience with this? I imagine it is somewhat similar to smoking nonstop while producing. And btw I'm aware of the health side-effects so I don't want to start a discussion about that.

I smoke like a chimney when I produce sometimes, but in all honesty it doesn't do as much as a good ol' glass-bottle coke or an addy. I know that feel tho

i never found nicotine to calm me down really. nicotine is actually a stimulant and i think its more or less just like any drug that people are addicted to makes them feel better, ir calms them down.
i prefer to smoke a bit of herb when producing. it really helps me get into the song creatively and creating nice grooves. it can be a bit clunky during the mix down or sound design and setting up busses and what not, so I tend to save that work for when im sober

chewing tobacco is nasty. everytime i have done it i tried to convince myself i liked it but ended up wanting to take it out after 5 mins, then feeling a little nauseous.
i smoke cigs occasionally but not while producing. it disrupts my flow and maks my hands smell and everything and i dont like it.

well, at least a couple serious answers. Seriously though I don't chew very often, once every couple of days. I like it a lot better than smoking because in my dorm room I can do it right while I produce.

get off campus bro. i hated living in the dorms. freshman year its cool but after that get out before you get caught doing something.
