Have Fact mag lost the plot?

I've been in desperate need of some new mixes to listen to, so i've been going through all the mixes that podcast, blog and mags offer. Heny G's mix from Hedmuk is great if anyone is interested. Back to the point, so whilst looking on fact mag's website for a mix i came across a mix by Randomer. Now, i only really know Randomer for one main, which is his travelogue tune - amazing! However, upon reading fact mag's article on him they seem to have lost it... This is what it reads, "It was late last year however, following that Hessle release that Walder really seemed to step things up: ‘Real Talk’, his single for Numbers showed off his skill at drum programming". I of course checked out this song and there isn't any special ground breaking drum programming, it's just a house track, 4x4 drums.
If you really what to know Randomer's drum programming skills, check out his travelogue tune, that's what you call skill!

the majority of blogs are excruciating to read, it's usually best to just skip straight to the music and make your own judgements

When it comes to music magazines/blogs I don't really listen to their opinion, good for finding out about new music though. At the end of the day the only person whose opinion matters is your own

best sites covering music atm are the quietus & junoplus, imo
wish the wire would operate as a web based magazine a bit more.

hahah, m8 i just listened to travelogue and the drum programming isnt amazing on that, you say real talk is just a house beat, but its got other percs over the top, that travelogue is just a dubstep beat lol, its not amazing.
Listen to Brunk by randomer, now thats got mad drums

its a really is all about the shitty advertisimg revenue tbh (i suppose?)
dunno why but the fuckheads IP banned me - i was just posting bits and pieces to help with their social media outreach program, not even being rude, just a few assertions and spiky wording and they cant cope m8
xlr8r is fuckign wack beyond belief. template reposts. they never credit me in my videos the fucking wankers
+1 quietus being good to read, juno plus has had some good stuff but i never check it tbh...
dummy have some good editorial bits and pieces sometimes (between aazeliea banks articles...)
overall their is precious little good writing about music. i dont agree that its like dancing about architeture really. just the hype and gushing hyperbole obscures the music more often that not. purple prose laden paragraphis attempting to describe sounds when it would be so much better to add some context for the music instead of saying 'knackered house m8, like actress meeting madteo in a bag ladies handbag'

I find the majority of these sites to remind me of gawker media with all the titles and content being intentionally controversial to generate clicks and in turn ad revenue.
They do have some good music on them time to time, just shit written articles.

Do agree the content has been going downhill b2b useless twitter beef over the last year. Little white earbuds is decent enough for finding music too

he can be a good writer generally but lost the plot on that and reverted for lowest common demoninator shite
