I'm not kidding....is there a scene there?

I'm contemplating possibly working there in the future - any chance of bass pressure?

Isn't Dubai in serious debt trouble and on the verge of bankruptcy? Property prices have fallen 50% in the last year anyway...

I was there for a few weeks in May and met a few locals who were into Drum & Bass and some Dubstep. Chase & Status and that. They said there was the occasional DnB night but no Dubstep nights at present!

Dubai has never had any Dubstep Djs but a few weeks back the Stanton Warriors (breakbeats) played in a club called CHI... at the end of the night they stopped the beats and just ripped the club with some dubstep. My favourite night in Dubai!!!

There has been a only few dubstep nights, reason because some people actually request the Dj to play a few tracks (me being one of them people :) ).

The problem is that Dubai is soooo into it's House and R(ubbish) n B(ollocks) that it has no time for change or try new things. One prominent local Dj has told me that he is afraid of playing dubstep fearing that it would not please and not attract anyone hence costing him his job. It's a very commercial place Dubai... so yeah.

Another problem is that our music stores do not have 1 single album for a dubstep artist. Our internet is watched and cencored so we cannot really download + our internet speeds are so shit (or expensive if you get the faster connections). We are very limited.

There are a few dubstep fans here... not more than a 100... and most of them are British nationals.

Yeah sorry for my QQ.

Peace
