i really dont see the point in releasing it. it will probably get battered everywhere now until it's completely dead. guess i can put the original on the shelf now for a couple of years until i can play it again without rolling my eyes at myself.

It will certainly get rinsed beyond belief.
I just hope the original goes down in price.

mixed feelings, down here both yunx and km came down in a similar time, and badman VIP wasn't enough for me to go by myself (got no friends who like this music, or if they do it's bro)
so i obviously rarely get the chance to hear it, didn't care too much for it when it was available.

but even listening to the soundcloud clip, without toast it's not the same hahahahaha

I'm not an expert in vinyl distribution, but I've never seen an "individually numbered" release that wasn't limited...

This makes me sad, I'm a big fan of VIPs or special tunes staying unreleased... especially when they've said at every opportunity that this will NEVER come out. These hyped up unreleased tunes completely lose their sparkle once they're released and become just another standard tune. Its tunes like this that makes sets special and memorable, that will no longer be the case.. as baddis said it'll get battered everywhere until its dead. I can only assume they got sick of feeling like they had to play it in every set they played and wanted to move on so decided to release it, that or lack of money. I'd be surprised if you'll see it on discogs £100+, my guess is this will be pressed in a large quantity cause they know it'll sell.

I don't think it'll get battered. Take Eyez VIP for example, I think I heard that get played out more often when it was a dub than since it was released.

Well I was looking for a copy of the original for a decent price, so this is a pleasant surprise. Having heard it out, I don't think the VIP is all that much better to be honest, just really happy to finally have one or the other. And for what it's worth, plenty of DJ's been playing Eyez VIP.

I don't have a problem with this. More people will be able to hear a good tune, and Kryptic Minds will be encouraged to come up with more fantastic unreleased dubs for their sets, it's a win win situation at least for me. Badman VIP's not exactly a new tune anymore anyway, as someone above said I'm sure the Kryptics are probably a bit sick of feeling pressured into playing it every set when they have so many other great tunes to fit in as well. Eyez VIP for me at least hasn't lost any of its impact since being released, though I can only afford to go to dubstep nights every few weeks so maybe haven't had the opportunity to hear DJs battering it.
