I recentely did a post asking about this, the thing is is that Dawsons music is near me and I'd like to try them on. I've heard AKG are good but not so much heard about KRK. The KRK look a bit more comfy but just wanting to know which are overall better taking in to account sound quality, comfort etc
If you have any experience with these let me know!
I'd go with AKG anything over KRK. Haven't heard the KRKs in question here but I can almost guarantee the AKGs are better.
Still, you can get a better product for relatively the same price if not cheaper. What's the reason you're looking at these two headphones in particular?

I ave the KRK 8400s, can't compare the sound quality to any other headphones but the sound good to me and go down pretty low (I generally only use them for checking subs). They are closed back so they are good for me when I stay at my parent's house as I can use them without pissing off my brother and they cancel out a lot of outside noise. The best thing about them though is that they are really comfy, I've worn them for hours and hours and have never had sore ears because of them

I've had a pair of AKG k240's and they broke on me. The part that cups the ear on the outside is plastic. One day it just said peace...I know they are the lower line, but I was none the less disappointed :/ Just sharing.

That would explain why people keep telling me my mixes don't have enough highs. Never thought it was my headphones, cheers you've probably helped me out a lot by bringing that to my attention

Everyone's different....
doesn't the shop have demo pairs of headphones you can try out ?
I've got 770's but they lack a bit of mid. I'm with rayman, ath m50.
Those are generally considered great monitoring cans.

had the ath m50s for a long time. liked them a lot but used them as dj cans. now have the ultrasone dj1 pros, and primarily use them as production cans haha. but I like them both.
